    Replacing EL-34 pair

    Last night I swapped out the #3 bad tube to the #4 socket and the #4 to #3 socket, the #3 tube failed to light in the #4 position as well so I'm fairly certain it's the tube. Any help on which positions (matched pair) to replace (#3 obviously) would be greatly appreciated.

    talltxguy. Spec for the #3 is Mesa EL-34, STR 447, 05 AC Yellow. Pretty sure all the rest are the same color code. Thanks, TS

    I need to replace a bad tube in my Stiletto Tridant head. Attached is the question: I need to replace the pair.....based on top view of head.... #1-#2 #3-#4 #5-#6. #3 is the bad tube. Do I replace #3 and #4 ?

    Wow. Boogie Board pretty slow lately. Same thing happened last weekend, powered up, same tube didn't glow. Powered down, pulled tube out, put tube back in, powered up, tube glows. I'm wondering weather this is a socket issue rather than a tube issue. Maybe I should have posted this in the tube...
