The clean channel on the DC-5 is my favourite thing about the amp. I do love the lead channel too though. Hmmm... Ah screw it, i love everything about it! :lol:

No doubt about it the DC-5 comes alive when you turn it up! It surprises me how much brighter and BALLSIER it becomes! It's such a great feeling when all the Dual Rec guys come along with their volumes on 3 and you get to blow them away haha! :lol: P.S. I owned a DR Roadster before so i know!

Hmm well since i'm a DC-5 owner my answer is obviously biased! I chose the DC-5 over the MkIII though because i liked the grittier, more ballsy tone of the DC-5. As for head vs. combo, i have the combo, but i actually much prefer the sound of the amp through a closed back cab. I play it...

Hehe awesome! Does anyone know how to date an amp by its serial number? Mine is DC-0181. Does that mean it's the 181st or something else? :shock:

Hey man it's on the bottom of the chassis. If you look at the back of the amp to where the fuse is, it's just below that, printed on the bottom of the chassis. If you run your hand along it you should be able to feel a sticker. Just put it on a table and turn it upside down for a better view :)

No problem guys :) I'm loving the mod too, i've been playing pretty much non stop the past two days! Have you seen the thread on the DC Cartel yet? It's a little bit of fun, kind of a forum club for DC or Caliber owners :)

Well i did the volume mod on my DC-5 yesterday and it now officially KILLS at bedroom volume too so i'm very happy! Here are some pics i took in the process. Enjoy! :D Above is the resistor you need to clip for the mod, just behind the volume pot :)
