Triaxis LD1 Red Without The Fat Mod

After years of having a Triaxis 2.0 with the fat mod I finally had Mesa reverse it and just got it back a couple of days ago. Wow. LD1 red is now focused tight, aggressive, has great thick mids and can cut through the mix like a knife. Admittedly I am a hard rock/metal guy who likes...

Trade Mesa Rectifier Strait For Slant (Chicago Area Only)

I have a mint rectifier straight cabinet with V30s that I'd like to trade for a slant. I'm willing to trade straight up but the cabinet must be in the same condition as mine (basically new) with cover and casters. Also, it has to be in the Chicago area as shipping is a monster on these as most...

What Mesa amps do you currently own (current production)?

I'm in the minority I know but here's what I have: Triaxis 2:90 4X12 (straight, oversized) 1X12 mini rectifier cabinet (slant)

Mesa Mini Recto 1x12 Slant or Straight

I have the slant mini-rectifier with an HT5. I got the slant as I wanted a little projection up so that I could hear a bit better. I've never tried the straight mini-rectifier, but I have a straight oversized 4X12 rectifier. I like it a ton, but wouldn't mind a bit more projection when I'm...

    Mark V vs. Triaxis/2:90

I don't have my Triaxis back yet but I had a real chance to tinker with all the channels tonight on the Mark V. Wow. Every channel and mode sounds good. I played everything from clean to all out metal. I couldn't get a bad sound. Keep in mind the one I'm using I believe is broke. The reverb...

Mark V Footswitch Am I Doing Something Wrong

Thanks. Yes, it powers up in channel 1 and if I have the effects loop set to all, all the lights light up. If I have it set to FTSW, only the effects loop lights up and nothing else works. Both the channel select and loop are set to FTSW. I've tried all channels manually and they all work.

Mark V Footswitch Am I Doing Something Wrong

I have the chance to try out a Mark V so I'm having a bit of fun playing around with one. However, the foot switch doesn't seem to work. I have the Loop Assign and Channel selector set to FTSW, I turn it on and the footswitch doesn't work. The only thing that's lit up is the EQ. Stepping on...

    Mark V vs. Triaxis/2:90

The Triaxis is actually not that hard to use at all. It has a learning curve, but no more than any Boogie amp. I can see falling into the hole of tinkering too much. Personally, I use the Triaxis more like a traditional amp than one with a zillion channels. Meaning that I have a few presets...

    Mark V with EL34's is a WINNER!

Can you combine EL34s and 6L6 like you could in the IV or is it all one or the other?

    Mark V vs. Triaxis/2:90

Thanks Jackie. That is kind of why I like the Triaxis, for the versatility. That being said, I probably don't take advantage of it to its fullest degree. It's kind of a nice to have for me, but not totally required. As long as I have a few different tones and a lead boost, I'm generally...

    Mark V vs. Triaxis/2:90

Thanks! I wish I could own both but I don't think I could justify it to my wife =D.

    Mark V vs. Triaxis/2:90

I'm currently a Triaxis/2:90 user but am kind of gassing for a Mark V. I'm not unhappy with my Triaxis setup at all mind you, however on paper the Mark V seems like it would be a fantastic amp. I'm mostly a metal player, but also play some rock, hard rock, classic rock country rock and...

    Triaxis used or new?

I'm always a fan of used gear. Yes, you do take a chance. However, the value is hard to beat. I think I got mine for about $900 or $1000 but it was a floor model at a Guitar Center in Michigan. (I don't live there but found out about it form a forum bro on another forum) In the end only you...

    Tear In The Speaker Grill

Hi everyone, I can get a 4X12 rectifier cabinet for an insanely good deal however it has a tear in the grill on the upper right corner of the amp. My first question is, would this affect one at all? I think no but I want to make sure. My second question is, can this be repaired? Ideally...

    Triaxis + 2:90 newbie !! needs some answers :P

With regards to the 2:90 price, they really are fantastically priced now. I bought mine for $500 then turned around and sold my 50/50 for the same amount. You can argue that the amount of power it puts out is never needed. However, it sounds good at any volume so using it at low volume is not...

    FS: Mesa Tubes

Just a plug for the Ruby's. I have them in my 2:90 and they are excellent!

    Tri-Axis Record Out & Tuner/Muting A Rackkmount Tuner

Thanks man! That's how I have it set up now. The problem is I want it muted when I tune.

    Tri-Axis Record Out & Tuner/Muting A Rackkmount Tuner

Does anyone hook their rackmount or other tuner up to the record out jack on the Triaxis like the manual shows? I'd like to run my rack mount (it's an old Boss) tuner on mute and I wonder if I could us that function for it. I used to have a cutoff switch on the footboard for my GP8 (old I...

    TriAxis/ 290

I just retubed mine with the EL34/6L6 combo. I can't say it's made a huge difference but it still sounds fantastic. If there is a difference I'd say there is a bit more "give" i.e. it's not as stiff as all 6L6 and maybe more full and rich sounding. To be honest, I'd have to A/B the two...
