    Triaxis serial number question...

My Triaxis serial number is 7665 and it still had Lead 1 Red with the Recto board and the Fat Mod. I had the Fat Mod removed last June. I think the guy at Boogie said that mine was probably from 2003 and it was the tail end of the Recto board though. So maybe anything over 8000 or so is...

    Triaxis/GMajor/Ground Control

Thanks man, that's what I'm thinking too. The GC can send separate midi commands to the different channels too.

    Triaxis/GMajor/Ground Control

That's a really good explanation, thanks a ton! Regarding the GMajor, I think that there are two ways I can do it. If I leave it on Midi Channel 1, it will take whatever information the Triaxis passes to it and go to that channel. This is what was happening yesterday. (I had it on Midi...

    Triaxis/GMajor/Ground Control

Got it! Makes total sense, and I think I know what I'm doing wrong now. I was changing the Midi channel when all I wanted to do was change the Program channel. This unsynced the Triaxis from the Ground Control because I probably have the Triaxis on midi channel 2 or something. (I'll look at...

    Triaxis/GMajor/Ground Control

Thanks! I think I know what I'm doing wrong now. One question though. I can set my Triaxis as channel 1 on my Ground Control. That's fairly easy. If I do this then do all my Presets on the Triaxis have to be set to Program channel 1? I thought it was 1 for 1 meaning you can only have 1...

    Triaxis/GMajor/Ground Control

I'm having a lot of problems setting up my rig. I know some of you have used this set up, so I wonder if anyone can please help me here. First, the GC was controlling the Tri and GMajor on the same channel. I wanted the GMajor to stay on one channel and only switch the Tri. I couldn't get...

    Triaxis with TX4 vs TX5

There technically should be no change to the other channels regardless of what board is in there for Lead 1 Red. I have the TX4 no fat (had it removed) and it is not a dark amp at all. Either it's a tube issue, or something is wrong with it. You should definitely give Mesa a call. They are...

Triaxis Questions about versions and recto sounds

I understand what you're saying Ryjan but I've had the opportunity to compare Fat and Non Fat side by side for quite a long time. I've owned my Triaxis since 2005 and it had the Fat mod on Lead 1 Red. I was never able to get a sound that I liked out of that channel no matter how much tweaking...

Triaxis Questions about versions and recto sounds

The Triaxis is a very versatile and great sounding preamp. You can get great tones and go from clean Jazz to modern Metal with the push of a button. Pairing it with the 2:90 and it's voicings gives even more flexibility. There are two things to keep in mind. First, you must like Mesa...

    Abacus Foot Controller For Triaxis

Thanks Masque. That's good to know and probably why lots of folks don't use them. The other thing that's putting me off is that it has limited functionality. It seems I'd be better off buying a real midi foot controller than the Abacus.

    Abacus Foot Controller For Triaxis

I currently control my Triaxis through my effects processor. (An old GP-8....) I've been considering another midi option for awhile (probably the Rocktron midi-mate) but I came across a used Abacus foot controller for a decent price. Has anyone used one? If so, what are your thoughts on it...

290 with E34L/6L6 combo: first impression

I have a combo of the two in my 2:90 as well and I really like it. Mine is the older blue light version and I believe I have the EL34s in the outer sockets. I'd have to look at the diagram that I have. At any rate, I think it sounds really good.

    what is my 50/50 worth?

That may be too high, but I would start at $500. See what you can get. Then drop it if you need to.

    what is my 50/50 worth?

Don't sell yourself short though. I put my at buy it now on eBay back in early March for $500 and it went in like two hours. Granted the eBay/paypal fees ate into my sale but it still sold really fast. I was quite surprised, I thought I would get $400-$450 for it. What's nice is that it...

Triaxis LD1 Red Without The Fat Mod

I think you've seen my thread on the other page, but I've been messing with a Mark V for a couple of weeks but am going to return it. I wasn't going to buy it for full price anyway, I was just trying it out in the interim while my Triaxis was at Mesa and now I've been playing both comparing...

Triaxis LD1 Red Without The Fat Mod

Sweet I'll have to try that tonight! Yeah, I definitely wouldn't fat mod it if it isn't already. There is a very small minority who actually likes it that way but I've had the unit for 8 years and could never get a good tone out of it.

    Mark V vs. Triaxis/2:90

So I got my Triaxis back (got the fat mod reversed on LD1 red) and have been playing with both amps. Keep in mind I was going to return the Mark V anyway as I'm not paying full price for it and it is broke. (Footswitch and reverb don't work) Honestly, as great as the Mark V is, I don't think...
