Ty WB! Now I'm confused. While shopping for one, the one mentioned says in circuit testing. 🤔 . the Orange drops need to be lifted and tested with an ESR meter just as if you were testing a resistor?

Great move on that 680R. They take a pounding! Factory installed 2 watts was too low. And my amp suffered. Burnt up and took part of the pcb with it. I've read where 3 watt wire wound is common now. 5 watt even better. What about the Zener diode? Is it ok?

I have a MKII C+ DRG. Factory. I would like to know the time stamp when these became " The Holy Grails" of amps. When I purchased it back in 1984, it was just another amp to me. I was never floored with it. In fact, many ppl claimed that it was missing something, which I agree!

My c+ as a 47pf, two 120pf, 180pf, 1000pf, 250pf and 30pf which the code on it says 10. When I removed the 10pf out, my meter read .03nf. ( (30pf).
