Should Mesa Boogie reissue the Mark IIC+ ?

Honestly I don't see any game stoppers to reissuing the IIC+. There's no part in it that no equal substitute isn't available. OK, the EQ sliders may have a different travel length. Resistors, no problem. Capacitors, no problem. CDE makes orange drops. Transformers, no problem, there are...

Wanted Mark V Suggested Settings Card comes on top of Amp Needed

I'd be in for one as well. Provided it's high quality, printed on heavy card stock, with crisp clear lettering, a high quality reproduction, not just a low res copy printed on construction paper.

Should Mesa Boogie reissue the Mark IIC+ ?

I would figure that the optimal version is the four power tube Simulclass version built in a widebody head, with reverb and EQ. A 60 can't be simulclass, a Coliseum is just too much for almost everybody and puts you into a different set of transformers so there's a different tone.

Should Mesa Boogie reissue the Mark IIC+ ?

Yes, a detailed, exact reissue to the largest extent possible, given that some original parts such as the specific CTS linear faders used in the EQ are no longer available. So the EQ travel may be a bit shorter...so what? I could deal with that. But I'd welcome an authentic new built IIC+ and...

FX loop wet/dry mix levels, Mark V vs Mark III

It appears that an essential problem I'm encountering is that the Quadraverb does not have a dual mono mode of operation. I also think it's got issues anyway.

FX loop wet/dry mix levels, Mark V vs Mark III

That is a bit different, but my primary question remains: Should the baked-in wet/dry mix of the FX loop be the same, or different, between the Mark III and the Mark V 90? Even when I break it down to a SINGLE channel of the Quadraverb in use, and try that single channel in both amps, I...

FX loop wet/dry mix levels, Mark V vs Mark III

Now it's getting weirder. What I'm trying to do is use stereo rack effects and split them so that each amp gets half of each unit. Which is an Alesis Quadraverb 4 and an Alesis DEQ-230. I want both amps to get the same time-based effects and, for the moment, matched EQ curves, by treating...

FX loop wet/dry mix levels, Mark V vs Mark III

I've noticed that the wet/dry ratio in the FX loops of my Mark V vs. my Mark III seem to be different. The Mark V's loop is much wetter. Is it supposed to be like that? I was under the impression that the loop on any Mark series amp is always a straight series affair, without any wet/dry mix...

    Boogie SOB 100 watt

I have a 60 watt straight SOB. I found that it had a harshness to it that I didn't like, which went away when I removed a certain .003 uF capacitor from it. It sounds good but doesn't have enough gain. The limiter circuit was taken out and it got a PPIMV in its place. It's an amp I want to...

what are the dovetail dimensions of boogie hardwood cabs?

Dovetail size is 1 half inch nominal. Top and bottom boards are cut full width, side boards are cut full height minus the thickness of the board, which is nominally 3/4".

    Vintage Original Prices

I think I still have the original receipt for a Mark IIA, HRG, and if I recall correctly it was about 795 dollars in 1978. I'd have to dig out that receipt to verify it. Sure would love to find another like it for the original price!

Wanted Reverb/EQ footswitch for Mark III

I was hoping...got a message back today. No luck if I want the authentic item. I'll just have to watch reverb, ebay, and the other usual suspects regularly. They'll come around eventually.

    The Tone Monster

I've seen his vids. He's a hell of a tasty player and always gets great tones out of whatever gear he's using. But it's just so much EASIER when the gear is a Mark V. (y)

Wanted Reverb/EQ footswitch for Mark III

I have a call in with them. Probably won't get an answer until next week. I've mentioned that I'll take a B stock one, it doesn't have to be pristine.

Adding reverb to a Mark IIB without reverb? Been done? Show me.

I want to add reverb to my Mark IIB Super 60. (Straight 60 watter) I'm guessing it's been done before. My idea is to add the reverb tube in its correct original socket space (on amps equipped with reverb) and point to point wire it into the amp. I might even consider making a small...

Does anyone know a source for replacement faders? Or a fix for broken tabs?

Someone's going to figure out a way to make some money 3D printing a fix for them.

Would someone have a picture of a Mark II Coliseum's reverb hookup?

Just two cables are used. One is a single conductor cable, the other is shielded. It's basically Fender style.

    Mark IIB recap

Just a short note here. My recently acquired hardwood combo Mark IIB is in need of a recap job. One of the 220 uF caps has vented. Interestingly, the amp runs perfectly, no hum, no weird noises, nothing. You'd never know that it has vented caps by the way it's running. Of course I'm not...

    Mark VII?

I'm sure that I will eventually own an example of every Mark at the same time. I'm OK with having a big amp collection.

    Mark VII?

I see the VII as being a slightly simplified V 90 with a different set of voicing options. Some voicings are the same as on a V, one is entirely new, the others are ones that we've seen before on one Mark or another. I haven't even fully decided which voicings that the Mark V's lead channel...
