FS Metal Grille 4x12 - Bottom cab - a rare one!

Selling an original Metal Grille 4x12 - Bottom cab It's rare as is it has a large "Boogie" logo plate versus the commonly found "Mesa/ Boogie" logo plate. Quite honestly over the years I've only come across three or four 4x12's with a "Boogie" logo plate on them. The logo plate looks the same...

Ahhh not sure you want to be using EL34's in a 60/100

    IIC+ EQ Mod

This also depends on the other parts of a C+'s configuration as well; things like reverb/ no reverb; whether it's a 60 watt, 60/100, Simul.... A fully loaded Simul (aka has EQ & Reverb) is imho more likely to be in the $3500+ range. EQ does seem to command it's own affect on value especially if...

    Wonky IIC+ PT

Yup it's a MkIV or a Dual Rec PT. Your PT must have been replaced at some point as they wouldn't have had the 561136 PT when your IIC(+) was built/ made. From a thread awhile back about BB wrote (bold is mine): Call Mesa see if they have any info on the PT being swapped out. Mike B might...

new member, question on how to clean EQ sliders and pots

Follow BB's advice and you wont go wrong. Ignore his advice and you'll suffer the consequences. Seriously do what he says, "Leave them alone."

    Mark IIC++ Power tubes

Yup they are a good tube. Similar characteristics to the STR-415's (aka Sylvania 6L6's)

    photobucket sucks!

There's an add on/ fix for firefox (and maybe chrome). It's called "Photobucket Emedded Image Fix" Seems to work well. There's a anew one called "Photobucket Fixer" by the same creator. Not sure if it's any better than the one above but if it works that's all that'd matter.

    Mark IV with 6v6

I'm surprised a 6V6 could handle the voltage in a Mark IV! Then again if always running it in tweed mode the voltages may not be all that high or an issue.

Price of an original Mark 1 Combo

Looks like a splice in the wires thus the heat shrink. Why the splice and/ or what role those wires play: sorry I can't help you as I don't know. But as far as the splice was/ is concerned at least someone did a decent job enough job to wrap it with heat shrink tubing.

    Mark IIC+ Refurb success story

Call Mike and ask him. He'll talk to you and fill you in. He's good that way (meaning he'll talk with amp owners/ end users). Btw great story about your HR C+!

Bought some sort of mesa boogie. What is it?

That's most likely because one has EQ and the other does not have EQ See pics of a Studio 22+ here with EQ and you'll see it has the EQ footswitch plug: https://en.audiofanzine.com/tube-combo-guitar-amp/mesa-boogie/studio-22-eq-combo/medias/pictures/

Mesa Boogie combo trim rings and Sus-4 steel mounts

You'll have to find them used. Mesa no longer makes or sells the Sus-4 mounts.

    Mesa Boogie MkIIC Combo

IMHO yes. They are a 10,000 hour tube so they very well could last you "as long as you have left". But considering yours is a Simul Class.... be patient and look for/ find an old pair of Sylvania EL34's aka Mesa STR-416's In Class A which only use the out two power tubes, if you have STR-416's...

Mark III to Mark II mod

Oh God here we go again.... Jon your intentions might be noble but seriously if it was as simple (or "minor") as you describe it'd have already been done.

Which of the 4x12 Mesa cabs with MkIIB+ Combo?

You asking about using two 4x12 cabs with your combo? Asking as you've posted speaker specs about a 4x12 "Full Stack" which is using both a top and a bottom 4x12. Fwiw both 4x12's are likely wired in series-parallel with all 4 speaker being 8ohms each. The end result is an 8 ohm cab. If you...

Mark III to Mark II mod

Perhaps but he didn't ask for "ballpark" he stated "Specifically I'd like to mod my purple stripe to a mark II c+" Which is why I posted it can't be done. And even a "ballpark" mod doesn't come close. The way a C+ responds to your playing is very different than any MkIII will ever respond be it...
