Here's a recently gigged cranked class A setup. This was in a medium-sized bar, thru a 1x12 (WGS ET65) with the other guitarist playing a Heartbreaker + 4x12. Despite the rather high bass setting, it worked really well.

I have both an '89 and '91 2x12 halfbacks and your 4x12 looks more like the '91. Outlined logo and multi-plug input tells the story. The '89 has solid logo and single input jack. Yours looks awesome! 8)

Yeah, mine did too. Immediately put Mesa EL34s in and never looked back. At 25W, my green stripe's A mode sounds great cranked and has been a predominant setup for me over the past several years at viable bar-gig levels. Keeping it in ch1 and using dirt pedals yields a whole new Boogie experience.
