    Footswitch question

Thanks! I saw an old thread about using the FS5L on the stereo GEQ/Reverb jack and it seemed like the OP was going to try it out, but never wrote whether it worked or not - people seemed to suggest they got it to work, but maybe had to mess around with it a bit (not sure what was involved).

    Footswitch question

Thanks, thats an option for sure - I do sometimes stomp two pedals at once with decent precision. I guess it would also be nice to have separate controls for both. If I go that route - would the FS5L work with the Mesa since the footswitch jack is stereo to control reverb and GEQ? I was also...

    Footswitch question

I have a Mark III Red Stripe. I used the GEQ for a lead boost and I also usually turn on my Alesis Microverb (original) set to reverse reverb (kinda like a funky delay). I was hoping to use a single footswitch to turn both on at the same time and save me some tap dancing. I read the Boss FS5L...

    Chassis sagging down in cab

Good idea... I usually use 'Class A' so it is really only the two outside tubes I need to cool. I should probably pull the 6L6's while I am not using them.

    Chassis sagging down in cab

Thanks much! I suppose the fan is probably important - I have only had time to put in an hour or two a few times a week since I got it, but that amp can get toasty!

    Chassis sagging down in cab

I was changing the speaker in my MKIII and noticed there was space between the top of the chassis and the cab. I don't know if that is normal or common, I hadn't seen it before today (only got the amp a couple weeks ago). I tried to tighten the screws on the top, but they didn't want to budge...

Mesa MKIII Weber CCAP - Copper Cap Rectifier

Thanks man - the CCAP seems an easy enough mod, and I was wondering if I would need to re-bias, but I don't know if I want that much of an undertaking. How loud do you find you have to play before you notice a difference? I find I mostly want more compression at lower settings on the MV, as I...

Mesa MKIII Weber CCAP - Copper Cap Rectifier

Anyone with an MKIII using a Weber Copper Cap rectifier? I was thinking about replacing the solidstate rectifier with one of these for a little more compression/sag. I was wondering: a) your experience; good or bad. b) which one?

NAD: MKIII Red Stripe Combo - Speaker questions

I found out the Cone Cry I was getting with my BF Bassman (which I am now selling) and Red Fang was a combination of a few mal-adjusted other parts of my rig (pickup height by a mm or two, delay pedal, etc) - I realized I was able to recreate it with my MKIII w/ EVM12L with the volume low on the...

NAD: MKIII Red Stripe Combo - Speaker questions

Hey guys - I am the proud new owner of a Red Stripe Simul Class with GEQ and Rev in a Combo! I really like the EVM12L, but I am thinking about trying some other speakers too. I am a big Phish fan (among other things), but wanted to try out some speakers similar to a Celestion Blue and I was...
