Could be the 5532. If you pull it out and everything but the recording circuit works, that was the problem. My dc-3 was sick and it ended being the op amp that was shorting out. Also try running another amp into the fx return from its fx send, then the dc-2 send to its return to see if you can...

It took about 30 seconds to replace it. You just have to pull the old one out of the holder and put the new one in. No soldering at all. The amp is working fine now. I only play at home so I haven't had it super loud, but so far so good.

It was a tl072, just got the new one last week and everything works now. Gotta love a 20¢ fix. The next thing to do is decide whether or not to keep the dc-2 and the dc-3. I kind of feel like collecting them all now.

My new op amp arrived today. I popped it in and it works! I haven't checked voltages yet, but there's sound now when there wasn't before, so I'm happy. :D

I pulled out the optocoupler in the recording out circuit out and my amp now works. I'm not sure if it was the problem or something else beyond it in the circuit, but I'll figure it out soon.

I am having a similar problem with my dc-3. Does it have very low output, like you can crank the main output knob and it's still quiet? Something to try first off is jumper the fx loop. Just plug a one end of a cord into send and the other into the return. I've read lots about corroded...

I had an issue with my dc-2 reverb. I solderd a lead from the ground of the output lead to the ground of the input lead and problem solved. Apparently grounding issues are common. I first tried a regular set of rca cables and it worked with them, so I would suggest trying that before pulling out...

So after checking out the voltages again, I have found that pin one of v4, the reverb tube, is 30 volts over what it should be. Pin 6 is about 10 volts under. Also, using the "click" test, I don't get anything when I touch pin 6. Very frustrating.
