That's what I figured. I did a tap test, and the loudest preamp tube I assumed was V1.

Forgive me if there is an obvious answer to this question. Which of the 4 12ax7's is V1? I can't find any info anywhere pointing me to the correct tube.

I have a Lonestar Special that I thought was my dream amp. When I finally got a hold of one, and played a few gigs, I realized that I don't use most of the cool features. I play straight ahead rock and absolutely love the LSS's overdrive, but I don't want all the extra features and extra weight...

I've recently inherited a Mesa Boogie Blue Angel and I can't find any info on the thing. It's old, real old... is there somewhere I can plug in a serial number and get a date? Thanks!
