    Does Mesa recommend a particular power attenuator

    I've owned a Weber Mass that I thought was pretty well made. FWIW, I got some cool tones with it, but it still wasn't as good as cranking the amp w/out an attenuator, and I eventually sold it when it became just another thing to haul around.

    5 years old Rectoverb Head. Serie I or II ?

    The series 2 amps have the "raw" mode, reverb controls on the front, and a switch to change between EL34/6L6's. If the amp has been taken care of, there's nothing to worry about with a 5 year old amp. There are plenty of 30+ year old amps out there, that weren't built near as well as a Mesa...
