adding reverb to one that has none?

It happens with all reverb & delay pedals. When you run the amp clean both the original & fx are amplified the same. When you drive the front end into o/d it clips the original signal but the fx, be it reverb or delay, is unaffected because it is below the clipping point. Although you do not...

adding reverb to one that has none?

Hi , That's where I have wired it but due to the compression when overdriving the front end the reverb level increases as I push the amp. I tried it further down the chain, but it overloaded the reverb circuit. It's not a problem though. If the SOB had a FX send/return I would have put it...

adding reverb to one that has none?

I bought a cheap second hand EH Holy Grail and simply transplanted it into my old '83 Mark SOB. I had already removed the useless limiter cct and replaced with long tail pair so I used this control for reverb level. Works a treat. Only problem is that it is now before o/d section, so as you...

Mark 1 reissue filament grounding ..

Decided to go with the 6.3V CT grounded, and removal of the two 100ohm resistors. Very slight hum in a quiet room with master on "0", but no problem at a gig. Strangely when the master is turned to "3" the hum almost goes. Not sure why this is ? John

Mark 1 reissue filament grounding ..

Hi Pat, Many thanks. I'll take your advice and not connect the CT, leaving the 100ohms to do the grounding. Cheers John

Mark 1 reissue filament grounding ..

Hi, My current 117V mains transformer has no CT on the CT winding, hence the two 100ohm resistors to ground the filament cct. The transformer I am about to fit HAS got CT. Are you suggesting I connect the CT to ground in addition to the grounding resistors ? Many Thanks John

Mark 1 reissue filament grounding ..

I've just noticed that the export version of the Mark 1 reissue has the CT of the heater winding grounded. But it also has the two 100ohm grounding resistors as used on the non CT domestic mains tranny. Will this double grounding be a problem ? I am just fitting a 240V export mains tranny to a...

Boogie Mark I reverb hum fixed

This may not be relevent to all Boogie owners as my Boogie had a new Ruby tank fitted so is not stock. As with other posts the hum increases as the reverb level is increased. Rather than go down the route of checking the amp I simply removed the tank, extended the phono leads and moved it a few...
