I'd say, don't worry about another guitarist, in previous bands where l've been the only guitarist, the bass player would nomally use a boost/EQ or something to fatten the sound when l'd break into a solo, or DUg from King's X would use some distorian on his bass. If it's all working out fine...

You sure the Effets loop knob isn't set to channel 1? if it is, then you are only gonna get effects through channel 1 (clean channel). Effect's like Compression, eq, distortion are better to be put through the front of the amp anyway. Riddick.

The 5150 is a great amp, l used to have one, but l got the dual rectifier, the 5150 is a much better amp IMHO. If you use 6l6's in your amp, maybe he could get an amp with el34's, this is normally a good thing to do to get a different sound, so your sounds aren't so similar. I hope l helped...
