    Tubiest Tube Power Amp???

Maybe try a powerbreak or somethign like that, yeah Mesa do run their poweramps too cold, way too cold for my liking (yeah they do sound solid state), l've heard good things about the Classic 50/50. What kind of sound are you after exactly, can you give me examples of bands or something. What...

    One Guitarist or Two?

I think 2 guitarists playing the same chord progression is just one big cluster f%^k, one guitarists playing rhythm and the other doing appripriate melodic playing can sound real nice, or the foo fighters trick of doing octaves underneath sounds great. But yeah 2 guitarist with different voiced...

    One Guitarist or Two?

I'd say, don't worry about another guitarist, in previous bands where l've been the only guitarist, the bass player would nomally use a boost/EQ or something to fatten the sound when l'd break into a solo, or DUg from King's X would use some distorian on his bass. If it's all working out fine...

New boogie user help with gt6 dual rect loop!!!!!!

You sure the Effets loop knob isn't set to channel 1? if it is, then you are only gonna get effects through channel 1 (clean channel). Effect's like Compression, eq, distortion are better to be put through the front of the amp anyway. Riddick.

New boogie user help with gt6 dual rect loop!!!!!!

Quick question, what are effects are you using? But l find the Dual Rec effects loop useless, it adds unwanted color. Riddick.

    Road king and g major

You actually can't use the relay on the G-major, you have to get a converter that converts the 5-4 external switching ports to Midi, if you get what l mean, there is a website that sells them, l can't remember what it is though, but there are million of threads like this, one of them will have...

Okay.. TOTAL Noob post.. Please read, and advise...

I think the triaxis sound fantastic through a 20/20, l thought it sounded the best out of all the Mesa Power Amps. VHT, now you're talking fantastic gear, pricey, but they are top of the line. Riddick.

Have any of you guys had this problem???

That's cool bro, l actually used my recto at the studio for recording yesterday, and l found, the vintage and modern setting were too metal for me, so l put it on the raw setting, got a half decent sound, recorded my guitar, then when l recorded bass, l put a some distorion on it, (a little...

Have any of you guys had this problem???

Personnally, l think the modern mode is completely useless, l haven't heard a mesa sound good on the modern setting, it is very bright, empty and sterile, maybe try the Vintage setting, this setting has enough gain, l don't know why you would want anymore. Personnally l don't think Vintage 30's...

    Whats wrong with me?

I am going through the same thing, the last couple of years l've bought and sold amps, until l bought a Dual Rec, to be honest, l don't like it what so ever, but it drained me of all my money, l'm having trouble selling it, so now a mate uses it and l'm ampless, problem solved:lol:  :lol...

    JSX vs RECTO

I know this is a Mesa Boogie forum, and don't mean to start **** or anything, But the the other day l had a JSX and my Mesa Dual Rec., side by side and a couple of different cabs. And the JSX absolutely slaughtered the Mesa in every way, but l should note that l never liked my Mesa from the...

    Peavey 6505 or 6505 plus?Or something else?

The 5150 is a great amp, l used to have one, but l got the dual rectifier, the 5150 is a much better amp IMHO. If you use 6l6's in your amp, maybe he could get an amp with el34's, this is normally a good thing to do to get a different sound, so your sounds aren't so similar. I hope l helped...

    What was your first amp???

My first amp was a Jade 15w practise amp, then l got a Marshall Valvestate, then a 5150ii now l'm after a Boogie. My first guitar l can't really remember, it was probably built in a country that no longer exists. Scott.

I'm specifically after a JP tone, l'm just after a "In your face" tone, as well as a nice clean. I'll check out the Mark IV. Thanks for the feedback, Scott.
