My roadster rocks, the other band members compliment me on the great sound on many occasions ( i said sound, not my playing :wink: ) The popping is no big deal, on warm up, click through the diff channels on your foot switch board, problem solved. Even if you do get a pop, it happens only once.

How much better do you think the distortions are on the MKIV compared to the Roadster.

Did it make much of a difference. I will probably wait till the stock valves get tired before I change them.

Totally agree , i am in the same situation as you, I am finding new sounds all the time and growing more in love with this amp, it is a monster. PS What type of valves did you swap?

Just gonna bump this and ask the question a bit differently. Can a roadster owner out there tell me if they have the same situation where the reverbs are negligible in the tweed and Brit settings. :)

Any idea why the roadster loses nearly all of it's reverb in the brit, tweed settings, is there a reason for it? If this has come up before I apologise.
