    Vintage Mesa vertical 2x12 opinions...

..the cab you describe was used by the late Michael Houser of Widespread Panic. He typically used two of them. I love the way they sounded. He had them loaded with EV speakers. I bought a 4x12 from the same era. It's an open (top)/ closed (bottom) format. It sounds great with my mk iib. here's...

What can I do with this Black Shadow Speaker?

Thanks! I always assumed the 150 was an EV. I like the sound of the 150. I'm not sure about the 50's becuase they're in a 4x12 with 90C's. I would like to replace the 50's with EV's or JBL's one day.

    5751's?

I just ordered some JAN Philips 5751's to replace the 12AX7's in my MKIIb. Has anyone had any experience running these in their MK Boogie's? I should point out that I do not use the gain channel on my boogie and use pedals for gain. -rob

The case I have the head in is much longer than the head so its always a little off balance. Maybe I just need a shorter case...

I'm also new to this board

Nice to see other mark boogie lovers out there! I have one head, an '81 mark IIB. I just bought a '90 4 x 12 that is freakin awesome! I am also interested in putting this head back into a shell and am interested in any used shells anyone might have....
