hey bermuda....i got the maxon 808 and used the settings you suggested .i dig the mids it added and the palm muted chugg is so tight!,,.i noticed theres a loss of lowend currently my bass is at 12oclock...what do you suggest i put the bass to cover up for the loss of lowend???

problem solved! i placed the smart gate at the start of the signal chain and it kept things quiet with the boost on! thanks guys

i noticed the maxon od808 takes away lowend...how much should i add back on my triple rectifier with the maxon on?? currenlty bass is on 12oclock

ill try to put the smart gate after the guitar and see if that helps...

hey lailer75..thanks for the reply man,,,does this mean the smart gate is not as efficient as a ns2 or isp decimator? or should i try two smartgates? one at the beginning of the chain and one at the end?

hi ...i just had a gig last night and tried boosting my triple rec with a maxon od808...tones of feedback even with my smartgate to full...heres my signal chain guitar(emg 85 bridge)=mxr auto q wah=maxon od808= mxr smart gate... am i doing this right?? by placing the smart gate last?

i turn the presence off on channel 3 of my triple rec because as stated in the manual...channel 3's presence picks up where channel 2's leaves off...anyone else doing the same???

i notice the amp gets fizzy with the presence on at decent volumes...thats why i turn mine totally off..

hey guys thanks for the reply...i play in a metal band....we usually gig in big venues as well,,,what i mean by bigger is tone wise not volume...i want more chunk...if that makes any sense and both the fulltone ocd and maxon od808 seem popular for boost

hello everyone,,,need some input i have a 3 channel triple rectifier ...im looking for a boost to add for making the sound bigger.. i play metal and i use channel 3 i would like a comparison betweed fulltone ocd or maxon od808....i heard the is some loss of lowend with the 808??? thanks
