I would think there should be a bias adjustment for each channel / side

got the reverb tank installed last nite.. although i didnt have the proper foot switch, it seemed to work without the foot switch. but, the sound changed dramatically with the reverb on ... didnt like it

Hey guys, was on amazon and found a nice inexpensive MIDI switcher. can anyone tell me what type signal the amp needs to switch channels ? latched + or - unlatched + or - unlatched "slow" + or - the midi switch by the way is a NUX pms-2 thanks, Joe

Hey guys, I have been working on this mark III for a bit now.. it was missing the reverb tank... Mesa is closed on Friday so no luck calling them today... wondering if anyone knows the impedance for the tank? i have a couple tanks laying around so if i would rather use one than wait a week...

Not wanting to jynx myself... have been taking this to practice for a couple weeks now.. and some time noodling with it seems to be working great ! not sure the mods done to it other than the bias mod It does kick butt.. Joe

How are your cleans? Can the dc3 keep with the band?

thanks for the replies! as with all my other Mesa's i feel that the amp should be run with the tubes it was designed for. This was a great purchase ... it ROARS and is dead quiet between notes... and the price couldn't be beat !!!! I had the Mark II pretty sure it was the a version ... lt...

Hey Guys, so i picked up a mark III chassis... el34's in the power section ( all 4 tubes ) and looks like the bias mod is installed amp clean sounds great can crank this up with no noise or hiss... the lead channel sounds a bit weird to me .. kind of brittle.. maybe its just me...

need more power.. try 50 or 90 watts per side...

I have used my gt 10 and gt 100 with the mesa dual recto and triple recto using the 4 channel method... you can move any effect in the gt 10's "chain" so you essentially can put the time based effects in the loop and the dirt / od before the pre-amp... sounds good.. personally I didn't...

Hey guys, have 2 Mesa vertical 2 x 12 cabs.... just recovered an older one for a client.. it is a little bigger then the new models and the bottom half is closed with ports in front and the top half has the back open... anyone compare these 2 cabs ? thinking about trying to find one for myself...

may have to give that a whirl.... -1 on the combo tho... toooooo heavy to cart around..

how are you guys channel switching with these amps.. I have one .. and both clean and distortion sound great ... but I cant switch between the channels and get the same volume have to fiddle around every time.. thanks, Joe

Hey guys, have a DC-2 Head unit... someone rebuilt the head case / converted it from a combo / or I don't know what Anyhow when I got the amp it was missing the reverb tank. would someone please post a picture of where the tank should be located ? thanks in advance !!! Joe
