    The tone I LOVE LOVE LOVE is Testament, Exodus etc. I have a triple recto in the mail and would love to get some ballpark settings for recording. Are there any cool albums with a triple recto used?

    What is the best OD pedal?

    I am banking on my YJM boost pedal (Yngwies) for my triple recto that is in the mail. It robs bass, but REALLY focuses the growl. As rectos can get flubby/bassy I am hoping it will be a good match. COME ON FED EX DUDE!!!

    Noob alert. :oops: I am looking at the manual for the triple recto and I noticed it has 2 5U4G tubes. What is the main funtion for these tubes? I usually like to function in a lower wattage mode. Do these remain on for all modes etc? Or are they only activated when run at full vol mode...

    Tung-Sol reissue 12AX7

    Tung sols IMO are only better than JJ's for tight ryth tone. For solos the JJ's are much smoother, warmer and more buttery. Tungs are just plain harsh for solos and cleans. I have both...When I record a solo I always turn to JJ's. But for chugga chugga the tung sols are amazing.
