are you running that those EVM's in a closed back cab? I have been kinda wondering lately (cause my EVM's have still not come in) if they will sound good in a closed back cab?

ARGH!!! THEY ARE STILL ON BACK ORDER! Oh well, I called EV on friday again to check status now they are telling me the issue is a component for the basket is not up to par so they are waiting for the new supply to come in. So the new ship date is the 22nd sigh.....

I have one these and it sound awesome through my mark V, it is chambered , but what really makes it sing is swapping out the duncans that were in it for the Liquifire and crunch lab!!!

Yeah i did order them over a week ago. They are being shipped from the EV factory in Arkansas, but due to the bad weather down here in the south the shipping has been delayed a few days. So hopefully they will ship out tomorrow and I will get them in next week....... I can't wait!!

So I just read in my boogie Manual and I guess throwing one 16 ohm speaker in the combo and running it into the 8 ohm input will be safe.

If your wanting to knock out noise on single coils while in channel 3, get the ISP Decimator G-String. You run your guitar into it to kill the noise from noisy pickups, and then plug it into the effects loop to kill your amp noise. Its about 100 bucks more though.

I personally feel its one of the best gates I have ever tried! Its 99.9% transparent , well worth the money spent.

Once my ev's come in I will have 2 Vintage 30's 16 ohms with no place to stay. My inital thought was to replace the Black shadow in my Mark V combo with a V30 but with them being rated at 16ohms i guess i can't. So should I sell them as a pair, seperate or buy an empty Avatar 2x12 contemporary...

Hey man, I just purchased the Isp Decimator last week and I run it in the loop and it works flawlessly. The best investment i have ever made, but you need to run it in the loop bro, not the front of the amp. I have it set between -30 and -20 db. My rig is DEAD quiet

Well I went ahead and ordered 2 EVM12L Classics, I was able to get them at dealer cost new, so buying two wasn't that big of a wallet breaker. I should get them by Wednesday.....I think they are going to sound killer in my closed back cab... 8)

The reissue classics not the black label ones, I love the V with the Vert cab especially when you take the casters off the cab. The reason for the change of speakers is purely the fact that the EV's don't break up, and I really think the EV's work well with Mark series amps. Just didn't know if...
