A 4x12 cabinet will make it sound huge. I have a Carvin 4x12 with Vintage 30s in it and my Mark III sounds incredible through it. You will not regret getting a closed back cab.

Thanks for sharing. I love my Mark III too and don't have any plans to ever get rid of it. I would love to check out a Mark V 25 as well, but there aren't any around here. I don't even think the 2 GC's near me have them in.

Sounds great! Lots of bite but you still get nice definition. I have the 5-band on my blue stripe set up the exact same way, most of the other knobs too, and I love the sound. If I throw my Boss GE7 in the loop and drop a few of the middle sliders on it, it will nail Puppets / Justice tones...

I would go for the fully loaded one and have the + conversion done.

Mine was doing the same thing. I read on here that it could be dirty send/return connections (among other things) so I used some contact cleaner on them. They seem to be working OK now using my Boss delay and chorus pedals.

Great advice. There is currently a Mark IV on the PGH Craigslist for $925 in excellent condition.

Another vote for the Mark III. I paid $850 for my blue stripe combo which is in excellent condition. It gets pretty darn close to the sound you are looking for.
