So I ordered 8 (4 for my Strategy 400, 4 for my friend's C+) STR-450 NOS Siemens EL34s from Mesa. Yet in the package there were only 7 EL34s and they are all STR-447s !!! This may be a stupid question, but could Mesa accidentely relabel tubes incorrectly ? I mean, I'm sure this must be a simple...

1) How much would a (Mesa) replacement footswitch cost ? I found one used without the FS. 2) Are there any versions or revisions I need to look out for, or are they all the same ? thanks

Does upgrading to Simulclass involve replacing any of the transformers? I'd be very wary if it did.

These cabs came out as an addition to the oversized Recto cabs in the late 90's or so. Were these traditional Recto cabs front loaded at any point? There was a guy on Harmony Central a few years ago that insisted his Traditional Mesa Recto cab was front loaded. So did they change the design...
