I checked my amp out for you. If I have my EQ on each channel set to zero my foot switch will not turn the EQ on. My amp is newer it was built in October 2019. I don't know if your amp is older, maybe that has something to do with your issue but good luck

I will be honest with you, I don't think you can fall in love with this amp unless you try to push it a little bit. Low-volume practice is fine, but you're going to fall in love with this thing if you crank it up By the way, if you do crank it up turn the fan on. LOL

I don't have a Strat, but I do have the PRS silver sky and I do seem like this amp a little bit better right now with the single coils at the moment. Seems to me like you can dial in a really good sound with one guitar and then you switch to another guitar and you have to start tweaking again...

I've been cranking this amp up today. Sweetwater is sending me two sets of matched six L6 tubes and I couldn't be happier!

Back in bidniz.Here's what I did. Took the fuse out of my DC 5, switched out 5ug rectifier tube(per mace's story), checked each tube one at the time using the standby switch trick and found a bad output tube. When I get my fuses next week I'll go ahead and test out that rectifier tube...

I would like to do that. I do have some spare tubes from when I had a dual rectifier and I have two sets of matched 6l6 tubes from a dual rectifier tube change out and that would be enough to troubleshoot this but I can't find any fuses in the town I live in. Specifically 4 amp slow blow fuses...

I just got this amp a couple of days ago, and I can get lost in all of the different possibilities with this amplifier. Sometimes I hear Jimmy page tone, sometimes I hear Petrucci. It really does seem like the possibilities are endless with this amp, it can take you wherever you want to go...
