There's nothing like getting new gear and it being F'd up from the get-go! It's probably an easy fix to the right tech. Have them repair it and in the mean time, borrow a Marshall??

In your owners manual go to page 36. Tube-"V7" is the driver for your power tubes....it stands alone from all the other preamp tubes. Remove the silver cover and see how bright it is? Try changing it with one of the other preamp tubes......they're all 12AX7's.

I run a Morley Volume through the front of my ED without any tone loss. To me it really helps. I run a Boss tuner, the Morley and that's it. Hope this helps!

I've had my ED 2x12 combo a couple of weeks now and if I'm not mistaken, the clean level control (on the back of the amp) only works at low volumes. It's intended use is for low level, i.e. bedroom or small club settings.....at least that's what the owners manual sez?? If you turn it all the way...

I thought about just using my Fuchs ext. cab, but I was looking more to make the ED more portable and less space on stage? I gotta say that the WGS combo sounds really good, but so do the 25w Greenbacks, which are 16 ohm I might add, wired to 8 ohm. The Fuchs cab is wired to 4 ohms.
