That just makes me sick. I paid over $1700 for the Deuce 11 months ago. Glad your enjoying your "steal" :P

I was using 2 Marshall 1936 2x12 cabs. All my 4x12s are at my rehearsal space.

    Questions about Stiletto's

I'm using an Alesis Quadraverb in the effects loop, it has a graphic eq, I raised the 62, 126 and lowered the 250. I mainly use the tite gain mode, with presence at 10 o'clock, bass at two o-clock, mid at 11 o'oclock, treble at 11 o'clock, gain almost all the way up, master volume at 1 o'clock...

    Questions about Stiletto's

I've owned a stiletto for almost a year now, I just recently put an eq in the loop, wow, this amp will do anything now, plus I switched out the stock EL34s with some Svetlana EL34s, really beefed up the bottom end. I've never thought the amp needed more gain, but it does really need help eq...

Guitar Center Blowing Out Stiletto Deuce / Tridents

you have a good argument, except that a new Duel Recto still costs you over $1600 new, so where is the deprecation in that and how did you know my computer was a Dell? No, I never imagined that the amp I bought less than a year ago would go for almost half of that price NEW a year later. My...

Guitar Center Blowing Out Stiletto Deuce / Tridents

Now this really pisses me off. I paid over $1600 plus tax for a head that is now selling new for half the price? I think Mesa should refund half of my money! Did anyone see this on ebay...

The best processor for a dual rec??

Yea, I use an Alesis Quadraverb as well with my duel recto and my stiletto. They are the only delay type of effects that I thought actually worked with the recto. I had a Line 6 DL4, I think it was, but it changed the tone and I didn't like that. I haven't tried the G Major but I've read good...

Stiletto Deuce help, need more low end chunk and boom

Ok, I switched out the stock Mesa tubes with some Svetlana El-34s that I had. WOW, what a difference. A ton more low end. It pretty much changed the whole tone of the amp for the better. That is so weird that power tubes could have that large of an effect on the amp. This really makes me wonder...

Stiletto Deuce help, need more low end chunk and boom

Ok, so you have too much low end now? Is it because of the tubes or the MXR EQ? How well does the EQ work in the effects loop? I've run my Stiletto at every volume it's cabable of and I also used it with a Mesa over sized recto cab. I feel the low end, but not like any of my other amps. I think...

Stiletto Deuce help, need more low end chunk and boom

Just to clear up a couple of things... no, I didn't crap my pants  I'm well aware of the difference in 6l6, EL34,EL84, tubes I'm comparing the low end to 2 other EL34 loaded amps and one EL84 loaded amp, hell even my Line 6 has more low end. I still own all the amps I mentioned I just...

    Sound level

That sounds like fun, but I don't have a db meter. A few years ago, my then bassist had one and took it to rehearsal, we clocked in at 135dbs, just practicing! I started to use earplugs after that.

Stiletto Deuce help, need more low end chunk and boom

Ok, I've been lurking around on this forum looking for some help with my Stiletto Deuce head, hopefully other owners can help. I know the manual says that the bass response is voiced an octave higher, but I really miss that low end. How can I get the low end back? Do I need to modify the amp or...
