my settings are through a 550 ... my guitar volume is about 5. the reduced output of the guitar doesn't push the compression much but it does give variable fattness and some grit to the tone. my "clean" tone is just shy of a hint before a nudge of break-up ...

ooops ... contour 11:30 to 1 if i go to high on the contour the sound takes on a "brittle" quality. If i take the middle up to 10 then i'll cut a bit by raising the contour. cb

hello all has anybody had any problems running stomp boxes in the effects loop? specifically, has anybody had not been able to use a stompbox because the effect loop signal resulted in the clipping in the stompbox when the amp gets cranked? thanks cb

Hi All I bought a "fold up" hand truck at Costco, I move my 550 around quite easily with it. It folds flat and extends for height. It's light and tucks out of the way easily. I've had casters on amps and I prefer this handtruck for moving the 550 around.
