    Channel 2 Problem with TA-15

Jonesboogie did you get this resolved? There's a post "TA30 giving out" just below yours that has same issue. One of the posters states TA has a phase inverter tube that could be the culprit.

    TA-30 Learner Driver - G'day / need cab advice

Hello Alex, I do not own the TA-30 but I do own the TA-15 and it has been one of the most versatile and best sounding amplifiers I have ever owned. I run mine through an older Mesa 1x12 23" wide open back cab loaded with the Black Shadow 90W. It sounds great to my ears. I would think your open...

    Falling in Love Again

Grats on finding that feeling again! I think there's very little that the TA-15 doesn't cure. Such an amazingly underrated amp.

TC50 combo vs Rectoverb 25 combo

Just curious, did you ever try a Mesa 5 Band EQ in the loop? I run one in my Mini Rectifier 25 and once eq'ed correctly it has a decent amount of bass/girth for me. YMMV.

    Mini Rec cab

It's got a strong mid focus making it cut through very well. And 25W into 8ohm is freaking loud. In bedroom situations even at 10W it sounds great. I love mine. And the portability is out of this world. The recessed handles make it easy grab n go. When I first got mine I was shocked at how much...

Mark V:35 - too quite for drummer

A Recto 2x12 @ 8ohms pushed by a 35w Mesa head is more than enough. Either not a true statement (i.e. Troll) or user error.

    TA15 inbound!

I absolutely love my TA-15. I run mine Ch 1 clean for that crisp, clean tone and I run Ch 2 in Hi 1 because the tube breakup is so, so rich. Running it into a Mesa Widebody 1x12 open back with Black Shadow Celestion 8ohm. I run my Hi 1 gain at noon for when I'm playing Pearl Jam, Stones, U2...

    Fixed my dead Mini-Rectifier

Thanks for sharing this fix. Often it's the simplest of fixes that are overlooked first so as a fellow Mini Rectifier owner I appreciate this! Good stuff!

    Mini Rectifier revisions

silverwulf's post regarding the 3 channel non-multiwatt Dual Rectifier guide got me thinking and looking at the Mini Rectifier to see if it has subtle differences. And sure enough there are. The major one I can see is the FX loop hard by-pass switch. Some mini recs have them while others do...

    Mini Recto Update Wishlist

    5. Bias switchable between EL84 and 6V6 power tubes, much like the Dual Rectifier switchable EL34 and 6L6 power tubes.

Any problems with the Mini Rectifier?

My uneducated guess is maybe the bass pot has gone bad? I don't know.

Help with Buying a Dual Rect

Me personally, I find a Mesa Recto 2x12 to be ideal. It's size allows it to have both versatility and projection. Light enough (relatively speaking) to travel to and from home to rehearsal. Small enough to fit in most cars, including my Veloster hatchback. Big enough to project loudly during...

Help with Buying a Dual Rect

I own a 3ch non-multiwatt Rectifier and Recto 2x12 cab and live in a condo. I play mine at lower volumes and it sounds decent enough. Not as good cranked up, but still well enough to jam and rip stuff up. Lately I've been experimenting with turning the Loop Bypass switch on and using the...

The 3 Channel Dual & Triple Rectifier Guide

This is awesome to see!! Thank you Silverwulf! By the way, I have a 3 ch non-multiwatt Dual Rec with serial R-043595 if you need pics of it since its close to that end of C+ beginning of E boundary. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of this!

    Mini Recto Update Wishlist

    4. Solo boost w/ pedal switch But, wishful thinking right now. I asked Mesa after Mark V:25 came out if they were planning to do an update on the Mini Rec and they said "No currently planned revisions for the Mini Rectifier for the foreseeable future."

Mesa Grid Slammer vs Maxon OD808

Wow, this thread still exists! I purchased the Maxon OD808 shortly after my original post. I had read a lot, and I do mean a lot, of metal guitarists use the Maxon OD808 in front of their signal as a boost. Many consider it the "secret weapon" in their arsenal. Nergal from Behemoth and Adam D...

Mesa Grid Slammer vs Maxon OD808

Hello! New to the Boogie Board, this is my first post! I bought a used Dual Rec last year. It's not the multi-watt version but the version just before. Whoever had it before me knew what to do with it as they have some pretty nice pre and power tubes in it. The thing is such a blast to play...
