I loooooooooove my LP studio w/ EMGs on my dual. It has something that my Custom just doesnt. I also boost my signal with a TS9. Yummy.

Thanks guys 8) I'll check the settings when I get home from school. I do know that its the 3rd channel on vintage. The TS9 has alot to do with the tone.

Or you could go with an integrated quad from JJ. 2 6L6's on the outside with 2 EL34's on the inside. I have been running this in my dual for about 6 months with no issues.

Mainly just a metal guy here. But love to experiment with different styles while recording.

I get a much heavier and tighter distortion out of my 5150 head boosted with a TS9. Like someone said the Mesa distortion is good just different. I have a dual rectifier. While I like the 5150 for metal, the mesa works best for everything else.

I have a C-1E/A the hollow body one. I dont really care for the tone into my dual. Or really any amp for that matter. Has a great clean tone, but thats it.

Im running the integrated quad on my dual with JJE34ls on the inside and JJ6L6s on the outside. Best of both worlds.
