My first Boogie was a 3 Channel DR. I love it and don't regret the purchase at all. I think any one you choose will put a big 'ole grin on your face.

I tried to plug and play.. Didn't work out so well. After I sat down with the manual and read it carefully the amp was much easier to use. So my problem was pretty much operator error.

Wow. Thats all I can say. Having a fresh quad of JJ 6L6's really brought my amp to life. **** I love this amp.

Mine is the same way. I have channel 2 set for leads and its quite a bit higher.

For the last year I have been running an integrated quad in my dual rec. 6L6's on the outside and E34ls in the middle. I can grab some really cool tones but I think I am more of a 6L6 guy. I ordered a high gain 6L6 retube kit from Eurotubes. Will the tone change be drastic?

Congrats! That thing has too many options for me. I'd be fiddling with knobs more then actually playing. :shock:

Excuse my ignorance but why not use the solo option? That will give you the volume boost you need. Unless you are looking for a grittier lead tone?

Sorry I dont have much exp with RV's. I have never had delay sound good in front of any amp.

I have the JJ integrated quad and boost it with a TS9. I can make it squeal!

I use a Recto Std cab with my Dual Rec. I used a 1960a cab for awhile and was very unhappy with the tones coming from it. I dont think its a good fit for the mesa.

Angels came down and sprinkled superior pixy dust on the the 2 channel duals. In effect making the 3 channel duals the inferior, less talked about ******* child.

I dont think they have a nu metal tone at all? What is considered nu metal tone? I think papa roach, POD.. Stuff like that. Killswitch's tone destroys any of that stuff. Totally not in the same league.

Its not the first time they have used mesas. Im sure it will sound killer.

I think that would be a total money losing amp because its going to really only target one type of person. Why not toss in a second channel and open it up to that many more people.
