Has anyone ordered a Mark V yet?

well it turns out that the early B series have a habit of catching fire and blowing up even when powered down..... no just kidding. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mesa_Boogie_Mark_Series#Mark_IV (wiki so could be BS and might be worth reading http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Mesa_Boogie as...

Has anyone ordered a Mark V yet?

yar. I would guess 10 years down the road similar posts on boards will be arguing the intricate differences between a IVa and a IVb and one will most likely sell for twice as much as the other.

Has anyone ordered a Mark V yet?

I don't think that follows the same rational as a mark IIC+ at all as isn't even a fair comparison. you are talking about a vintage amp that has limited numbers when they were produced and and become harder and harder to find with every passing year. In addition to that you have a bit of "the...

Everyone in the Central NJ/ Philly Area, Mark V to demo soon

Amazing how far a good or bad customer experience goes when you finally do decide to drop several thousand on an amp. Good interaction has had a large impact on me going back to the same place. It goes both ways. Bad experiences have led me to go some place else. even to the point of dropping...

    MARK V and EL34 - Why??

as long as we are on the topic of tubes..... anyone have links that show the differences between the tubes? i.e same amp, cab, guitar, doesn't have to be a boogie just something that has consistent recordings with just the tubes changed out?

    new MKV PG Video

Marshall on speed. Only played a quick rod at the store last week never tried a nitro. It felt very hot rodded Marshall. If I was in the market for a Marshall I think I would just jump to a splawn. I had a JCM 800 around 86 and I hated it. Think I would take an XTC over both though.....

When the Mark V shows up in Guitar Center

I don't see the relevance to the question I raised about the suggestion that mesa puts limitations on dealers in regards to selling on the net and shipping. But to answer your comments about demoing gear, I agree entirely about being able to demo gear but I am more than happy to walk into a...

When the Mark V shows up in Guitar Center

I don't know the reasons and I don't think that I have heard any reason as of yet to back up the explanation for not allowing shipping from a dealer or not allowing internet sales. It might be dumb logic on my part but it would seem that not allowing shipping from a retailer, and not allowing...

When the Mark V shows up in Guitar Center

In regards to the part about online sales, perhaps that is applicable to north America but even so the reasons stated I think are questionable to say the least unless I misunderstood something in the post. Can you point us to where you read that? Outside of North America things would seem to...

New Mark V video from NAMM

Best video demo of the amp so far... Although I was half expecting the guy with the mic to ask "does this one go to 11?" Agree I would have liked to have heard a little more of how far the gain could go.

    Triaxis 2:90 NIGHTMARE!

I can say that I have had horrid experience with my triaxis and 2:90 along the lines you had. Bought both used off auction. they arrived at home worked fine for a couple weeks then the triaxis would freeze up on me and all numbers would go to 2.0 (I think that was it) sometimes it woudl work...
