Great, that sounds like just what I'm looking for. I'm a total knobturner and miss having a high gain channel so the Mark V seems right up my alley. Still, 90% of the time I'll be on channel 1 and channel 2 though. Those low overdrive tones are very important to me.

The LSS only uses one EL84 in the 5w mode. I would say check that tube. When in 15 or 30w, it is possible that the additional tubes are compensating for the failing EL84.
