That's exactly what I'm saying. The noise is there with effects in the loop and nothing in the loop--cables unplugged. It is there only when the loop is switched on. Tweaking... yep. I've got it at a minimum and it's still too much. Scott

Yep.. Filmore... Right up front. And, I agree; I can get the exact same tone with my Mark IV and a V30... of course, I'm also using a JP6 BFR. Because of the single speaker setup I have, I'm playing through an MC-90 in a Grendel Dead Room cabinet and mic'd with an SM57. Scott

I like my Boss CE-2... I've never heard one to beat it and that includes the original CE-1. Actually, I think something being digital or analog doesn't really matter as long as you like the sound it produces. Scott

I don't know. My input chain is buffered, but that's just to match the load on the guitar's pickups. I didn't buffer the effects loop because I honestly don't know if that would help anything but it's a good idea. Oh, and positioning in the loop didn't affect the DD-3 crappiness. :-) Scott
