    Triple Rectifier 150w/ 4x12 240w cab

I hope this question is unnecessary... was the amp connected to the cab correctly? Meaning using speaker cables and connected to the correct sockets?

    Triple Rect (Pre Wattage Selection)-Issues

The first problem is a feature unfortunately. Modding the loop seems the only option if you can't work/play around it. Second problem sounds like a failing optocoupler to me. These things wear out over time. Should be a relative easy fix if you can solder and have a steady hand. Good luck man!

Anyone run a five band eq in loop?

I've thought about putting that MXR eq in the fx-loop for the same reason... but I already suspected the chance of noticeable tone-sucking. Please share your findings, barryswanson!

    Clean boost pedals

I've build a SHO clone for about 20 euro's... no difference with the real thing and the best booster around IMHO.

Got a guy that wants an ENGL feature added to his amp??

Pulled 2 tubes out of my Triple Rec...

@ Bendo Well, F the police ;-) I think the very low volume (at home) is not going to damage anything. @ R_ADKINS80 I was thinking of trying only 2 tubes and run a 16ohm speaker on the 4ohm jack. Did Boogie say anything about that? Another thing I wanted to try is 4 6L6's on the EL34 bias...

Pulled 2 tubes out of my Triple Rec...

Could't find any clear answers if it could be done... so I just did it :P I pulled the 2 outer power tubes and left the rectifiers alone, put the amp on silicon diodes and left the 4ohm cab in the 4ohm tab. It seems the sound is a bit more 'growly' but that's only on a volume setting suitable...

How to install a bias pot in a Rectifier

When you're able to change something that was fixed... that means it's variable/adjustable and not fixed anymore, right?

How to install a bias pot in a Rectifier

@deeman In theory (and in practice I think) you can set the adjustable bias exactly the same as you amp is now. The only thing that changes is that your bias goes from fixed to adjustable. People say Mesa amps are biased 'cold' and why people mod their amps is to run the tubes a bit hotter and...

    Triple Rectifier tube bias switch

Never trust a bassist with your guitar gear... with their fat strings

Boost or EQ 95 Mesa rackto

I saw them in 2003 and 2005... didn't like the sounds of the guitars. Yeah I know about the (modded) Triaxis, the Diezels, sig pups and iso-cabs ;-)

Boost or EQ 95 Mesa rackto

Indeed, I think his active pickups are boosting the amp enough for him. But, I don't like 'tallica's live sound at all! Pretty harsh and rough IMO.

Boost or EQ 95 Mesa rackto

Guitar -> boost -> amp = A tube screamer (or alike) will do. What settings on the amp and what kind of speakers do you use, btw?

mesa footswitch channels layout for midi switching

@ Mobi Since you can switch between series and parallel... how do you like it best? People often say they hate the stock parallel loop... but I don't really understand the downside of the loop being parallel.

What was your first tube amp?

Triple Rectifier '09  Still have it and every time I play I love it more.

    Dual Rectifier - Channels 2 and 3

Download and RTFM  Helps a lot to understand how the amps knobs work. And trust me, if this is your first Mesa you don't how all things work until you do.

    attenuator suggestions

@ Mazzith Many many guys tell different thing about pulling tubes on a triple rectifier... Some say it can be done safely some say it just can't be done on a triple. Something I'd like to know; how do you deal with the change in impedance when you pull the 2 outer tubes? and, does it make that...
