3ch MW back panel channel selector

Hi, I’ve started using rotary switch to change channels on my 3ch MW recently. It behaves a bit weird. Going click by click, from ch1 towards ftsw - it goes ch1-ch2-ch1-ch3-ch1(ftsw w/out ftsw connected). Similar situation going back, with this one additional ch1 out of order. Is it normal...

    Dual recto channel switching issue

A little update: after 2 or 3 days, and some toying with footswitch connection, it stoped switching channels by itself, for the time being at least. Now I’m even more puzzeled if it is just some weird situational thing or just postponed problem:)

    Dual recto channel switching issue

Ok, so it seems it doesn’t switch channels when it’s set to ch2 manually, at the back, with footswitch disconnected. I changed cable but the problem persist. When left on standby, with fts engaged, in ch2, it switches to 1 in some time, and sometines rapidly jumps between them. When switch is...

    Dual recto channel switching issue

I reseated fts cable but unfortunatelly will be able to give it a spin later. I’ll also check it without footswitch. When it changes from ch2 to 1 the light on the amp changes but on the switch stays at the orange. Also, if it’s important, Fx loop engaged (fx loop light on) did not disengage...

    Dual recto channel switching issue

Hi. My multi-watt dual recto has got some strange channel switching issue recently. With fx loop on, footswitch connected, channels controlled from the fts, from time to time it changes from ch2 to ch1 on it’s own, just for a slight moment, and then reverts to ch2. Can it be something related...

    Rectifier Vintage roots

That is how I mainly approach it. With lowish bass, more highs/presence. At the momemt I keep bass at 10 o'clock, noonish mid and treb, presence at 3 o'clock, gain 1-2, Ch 2, vintage., tube rec. I have to get some spandex and hair cosmetics now:) I also tried ch3, raw with almost cranked gain...

    Rectifier Vintage roots

Hi, I've been trying to convince myself NOT to buy Marshall 2525X in a good price recently(as I'm still getting money for friedman be-100, torpedo reload etc.) I sat there trying as much as possible to get my dual rec vintage similar to said marshall with some really good results (at least in...

    Rectifiers, master volume and attenuation

Hello I've been toying with the idea of using an attenuator (probably Koch LB-120) with my dual rec. I'm just wondering if it would do any good for me. Mainly I run my Ch3 modern master volume at about 9-10 o'clock, and Ch2 vintage about 1-2h later :). FXloop bypassed. Gain usually at 1-2...

    Dual Reborn vs Roadster

Thanks for all the answers! Maybe still some more people having experience with both DR reborns and roadstrers could chime in. Unfortunately there are still many places when you can't just listen to both amps live... or neither of them. So there are only internet foums, youtube videos and gut...

    New DR - hum

Maybe some of you could share some close-ups of diamnd plate fronts in those "uglier" places (scratches, deformed diamonds;) ) that weren't damaged by the user? When I find out how to add pick I'll post "the things" bothering me on mine:)

    Dual Reborn vs Roadster

Hi As I have recently bought new reborn DR now I started getting second thoughts/buyer's regrets - „Maybe I should have gotten Roadster instead” :D My resoning for choosing DR was: a) It's a newer design (probably upgraded even from '06 Roadster – or am I wrong?) b) no real need for on-board...

    New DR - hum

If huming is alright then it's all fine :) It really ain't that loud. Just lounder than in Peavey. Thanks for claryfing Ad. 2) and 3) I'm pretty sure it wasn't foolr unit. It might just have been unpacked at distribution. Also some "diamonds" (1-2) are a bit flattened, like not fullu pushed out...

    New DR - hum

Hello, I've recently bought new 3-ch, multi-watt DR. It's my second tube amp (I have owned Peavey XXX for abou 10-11 yrs now). But there are few things concerning me: 1. I've notice that when I turn on the amp there is some humming from power transformer (I guess - right from the tubes). It's...
