Thanks for clearing things up. When I say more aggressive I guess I'm talking about which has more bite, less smooth, more edgy, more abrasive, more raw, sharper on treble strings, sounds more angry when playing power chords, etc.

I actually found the crunch mode to be most similar to my mark iii green stripe, but still very different overall. IMO the mark v just can't get the mark iii sound.

I heard from some people that the T-Rex Roommate is the best reverb pedal, but it's ridiculously overpriced IMO. Also, I heard the Solid Gold FX reverb is really good.

I noticed that on the EL-34's I ordered one one of them said 10 at the bottom with a small space and then 50 next to it and another one of them said 1143 at the bottom also with a small space. Does this have anything to do with the range or is it just a serial number.

Would the mark iii's that you found more aggressive be either the red or purple striped ones I see in you sig. I also own a mark v and find myself playing my mark iii green stripe way more often, but the mark v is better for certain things.
