    Mesa Roadster EVH Sound

Thanks for the follow-up Russ! Now I can sleep better tonight! The amp setting were the same, but I'm sure the SM57 was probably off by 1/4"-1/2" from the last recording...

    Mesa Roadster EVH Sound

Thanks Talus! I used Channel 2 in Brit mode 50W/Tube setting Gain @ 3:00 Treb @ 1:00 Mid @ 11:00 Bass @ 12:00 Pres @ 11:00 The key I found is using a Boss SD-1 (Keeley modded, not that it matters) in front--it adds that extra something to the sound. Russ: I posted a newer clip that I hope...

    Mesa Roadster EVH Sound

Thanks for the feedback Schmoog and Russ. Russ: I agree with you on the Marshall thing--I certainly didn't buy the Roadster to play VH, but I am also a big fan of Eddie's so I'm just trying to get close enough. As far as the "rushed" part, I was just trying to get some clips recorded to post...

    Mesa Roadster EVH Sound

Thanks for the feedback guys. Schmoog: I'll try thinning it out and post another clip later, thanks for the suggestion. I was listening to VHoholics clips, especially the 5150 sounds found here: http://www.jasonjosephphotography.com/soundclips.html I think he has some great tones, but again, a...

    Roadster 112 vs. 212

I have the 212 Roadster and it has to be about 100 lbs. I see Mesa updated the weight in the 2007 catalog. Like Stratman posted it has wheels so the only issue I have is lifting in and out of my Explorer. After I fire it up the great sound makes me forget about the weight... Good luck!

    Roadster 1/4 Stack

Looks good! You could add the Mesa wheel plates to the bottom of the cab, then just move the wheels from the combo to the cab when you play...

Roadster 1x12 combo has landed!! UPDATED - Clips ADDED!

Hey tele_jas I really enjoyed your clips. Do you or have you used a HotPlate or attenuator with your Roadster? If so is there much difference or do you even need one with the MV control? Thanks!

    Used Roadster Price?

Wow jbird, thanks for the insightful yet condescending answer. Excellent use of emoticons also! Someone I know is selling theirs and I'm just helping them out. I can see why newbies lurk rather than post for a while....

What is a fair price for a used (6 months old) Roadster 212 combo? I have searched eBay for reference but no one seems to be selling them. Thanks in advance...
