I'l have to check and get back to you. The cabinets were purchased new by a friend of mine back in the 80's. They look a little rough but they sound incredible.

Do the pickups have covers? I'm assuming "shielded in the back" refers the the control cavity?

Updated Pic. Bought a new pickguard so I could get rid of the ugly pickup rings and not have empty holes. I also wax potted and covered the Seymour Duncans. It just looks more "classy", IMO.

Thanks but I'm not sure that answers my question. The same EQ used as an outboard effect could make a difference.

I wonder if they're as noisy as a lot of EQ's are known for. I'd love to be able to replace my TS9 with one of those. I wonder if the Flux Five can be used as a clean boost and if it's comparable or better than the TS9. :?:

Would the Throttle Box be a good option to replace the TS9 that's on my board and give me more saturation and "liquid" gain? The TS9 helps but it's just too loose for lagato runs and solos.
