    Recto: PRESENCE

Where do you set your presence on your Recto? Im currious where you set your presence for live sounds? I like to be able to get singing leads on channel 3 of my triple in the modern mode and still have a nice huge chunk. Lately Ive found a good blend with my B-M-T all set to 12 with my gain...

V-Twin or something similar for "Recto" voicing?

I owned a 1979 Mark IIa about 5 or 6 years ago and I wanted to do the same thing--sound more recto-like. I bought a V-Twin and what I soon found out was that no matter what I did to try and get it to sound this way it was still a Mark IIa in charactor. I also @ the same time had a little Mesa...

    Triple Rec FX loop inoperative--

I know that the loop will work if I assign it manually but I havent been able to get it to work from the Midi switch. I havent been able to try it with a regular single throw footswitch because I dont have one. Also the loop isnt assigned to "On" but to "Ft Switch". Ive owned the amp for over...

    Triple Rec FX loop inoperative--

I have a question for you guys/girls--When I tap the FX switch on the footswitch I dont get a light and nothing changes sound-wise. The rotory switch on the back of the amp is switched to FT Switch and Ive tried this with both something wired in the loop and nothing wired in the loop (even once...

Amp choice, thoughts feelings experiences wanted,

What do you think of the mmarshall you've been using? Maybe a stilleto is up your alley?? If its not what your looking for try a single rec--BTW with the poweramp volume up and the preamp volume down the cleans are rediculously lush to me--

    Dual Rec vs. Switchblade

Cool man-- I havent played any of the H & K stuff-- a place in town used to carry them but I didnt play one while they did. Expensive stuff if I remember correctly, but I wonder if its worth it? What is the switchblade priced @?

    2 Channel Recto vs. Trem-o-verb

Ive owned a 96 Tremoverb head for 2 years and now traded it for a 3 channel Triple Recto going on 2 years ago, and the difference that I heard was that the Tremoverb was alot warmer. Im not sure that the difference was gain but I always had trouble getting it to crunch with the chunk in order...

    any experts?

I just called Mesa yesterday and they told me my R-018011 is a Feb of 01 model Triple Recto. I would call them to get the best straight answer.

    Petrucci gear

In your theory about the Mark IV and the IIC+ what charactoristics are you speaking of that differentiate the 2 and make them rectifier sounding together? What does a IIC+ sound like in this theory? What does a 4 sound like in this theory? Would you have enough gain between them? Would you...

    Triple rec output sweet spot...

I went back to the Vintage mode myself. There is a sweetness to the mid-range there that seems to be absent from the Modern mode. I like it so far but there is a definate trade off in the bottom end deparment. I wish there was some sort of way to blend these 2 voicings togethere to get the...

    Triple rec output sweet spot...

Maybe I'll have to give that a shot--Ive been messing with putting my gain @ lower levels : 12-1 oclock instead of the usual 2:30-3. Its really opened my ability to turn the amp up a little more. This might make things better?

Controlling feedback from my dual recto

What kind of pickups are you using? If you have a hotter mid-spiked pickup like an EMG or something its going to do that! Isnt that what you want though? Maybe try backing off your guitar volume or stading further away from the amp with your strings pointed away from the cab when you have it...

    help again please

I think its the reverb tank still--the bottom end on your heavy channel might be just the resonance the tank needs to make that sound--the fact that it gets worse when you turn it up louder kind of gives that theory a little more ground as well. ??

    help again please

Does it get worse as you turn the power amp up? :?:

    EL34 Land with Rectos!

Cool--Ive talked to some people who swear by them in their recto's. Im not sure I would like them but ?? Its something Ive always wondered about but its always been kind of a pricy expiriment in a Triple Rectifier! I spoke with a guy @ mesa when I went through a factory tour and he suggested...
