Why can't you buy a mark IV? It only costs 1800 new. (well now it's out of production.) I would wait till the Mark V comes out and have it shipped to your country.

something's definitely wrong here. What's your R1 gain set at? It's going to affect the volume a great deal. I set my R1 channel vol to only 3-4 and it will match the L channel at volume 2 and gain at 8 pulled.

could you check your channel eq? If the lead treble/bass/mid are all 0, you will get a clean sound even if your gain are set to 10

Maybe the Mark IV is lacking bass and thus you said it sounds "thin"? But man, the Mark IV is so much tighter sounding than the recto. The rectifier clip you had sounds too blurry.

I would've thought this is the real dream Theater. You totally nailed it. The original guitar is slightly brighter but yours sound amazing also. If you don't mind, may I ask how you miked your amp?

I had the exact problem and first all of channels start to sound very bad and the fuse blew and you can see one of the power tubes is buring red. So i replaced the power tubes (bought the matched ones at guitar center) and everything works fine since.

I'm using an Audix I-5 which I like better than a 57. But it's still a standard dynamic mic. I need to try the Sennheiser MD 421.

This may not be your problem but once I accidentally turned down the treble on the lead channel to 5. All my gain was gone. I freaked out and changed the tubes but nothing happens until i turn my treble back to 8.
