60 Watt Mark II C+ Combo Weight

    Yikes, that's a lot. I might just look for a C+ head.

60 Watt Mark II C+ Combo Weight

Anyone know how much a tolex 60 watt Mark II C+ combo with EQ and reverb weighs? It has a black Shadow 150 watt speaker. One of these is for sale locally. I want it, but I worry about the weight of the Boogie Mark combos. I owned a 100 watt Mark II years ago but sold it because it was just too...

    Mark III+ Mod Still Available?

Ok sounds like I have some good more affordable options. I've decided to try and sell one of my more valuable axes so that I can get a used JP2C. I find that the expensive axes take some time to move though....we'll see how it goes.

    Graphic EQ Mod

    Sounds just as good?

    Mark III+ Mod Still Available?

Cool. I'll keep my eyes peeled for a good deal on a Mark III with EQ. I'm not seeing a lot of Studio preamps for sale unfortunately. I've only found one online and it is kind of expensive. I'll keep an eye out for one though. That seems like a legit alternative. People seem to want a lot for...

    Mark III+ Mod Still Available?

Is the Mark III+ mod something my local tech could do? That might end up being cheaper possibly.

    Mark III+ Mod Still Available?

Ok cool. I'll keep an eye out on ebay and Reverb for one of these.

    Graphic EQ Mod

Oh wow. Yeah, I'll just find one with the EQ built in already.

    Mark III+ Mod Still Available?

Cool:) Do you have to get a pedal specifically for low-impedance signals? The effects loop would be a low-impedance signal right?

    Graphic EQ Mod

Anyone know how much it is to add a graphic EQ these days? There is a non-EQ red stripe combo near my parents' place on CL for CHEAP. I could drive down there and snap the thing up during a visit.

    Mark III+ Mod Still Available?

Gotcha. I wouldn't need the pentode/triode switch, but from what I've read the R2 mod would be the way to go. Will that allow you to dial in a pretty significant solo boost between channels? I need a heavy rhythm sound as well as a saturated lead tone at a higher volume for solos. Obviously the...

    Mark III+ Mod Still Available?

Yikes, I was under the impression that it was more like $250. Yeah, that wouldn't be as great of a deal after all.

    Mark III+ Mod Still Available?

I tried out a new JP2C and loved it. I'd love to buy one, but it's a pricey amp so I'd have to sell one of my nicer axes to get one. I was reading up on the III+ mod. Does Mesa still do this mod to Mark IIIs? A more cost effective route than buying a JP2C would be to buy a Mark III and get it...

Another Mark V:35 "Is It Loud Enough?" Thread

So I am in a very loud hard rock group with another guitar player and a keys player. To give you some bearings, when I use amps at rehearsal facilities I've used a 60 watt Fender Deville 2/12 combo, and a 50 watt Marshall JCM 900 half-stack. I don't know what speakers where in the cab for the...
