Yeah, I'm just scared about shipping it to Cali. I've had a guitar destroyed by UPS before. The old Mesas are expensive and rare. I'm considering it more seriously though.

I played a gig with my 60 watt Mark II C+ with graphic EQ. It sounded awesome:) I have to get it recapped at some point.

Ok very cool. I'd love to get into this stuff at some point. The III+ modded amps I've heard clips of sound amazing. They are relatively inexpensive for a hand-made amp constructed in the States too. They seem like such a good deal.

Any of you guys compare one of the Mark IIIs with the 105pt to a C+ with a 105 PT? I would love to know if there was much difference in sound.

So I gather you can find the mods online and have a local tech do them then? I've been toying with the idea of getting a Mark III.

Awesome album. I love that tone too. I actually had been listening to it recently again so it's funny you posted about it.

Never tried that combo. Just did drums with an engineer with quite a resume and he said the best distorted tone he's ever gotten was with an uberschall. He said all he needed was on sm57 right on the cone. I've been itching to try one, They are hard to track down though. Are you loving it?

So is the recording just the Torpedo cab then and not with the iso cab combined, or is the iso cab in there too? Sorry for all the questions. I'm just really impressed by the tone. I've been tweaking for years using plugins and I've never been happy with the results. I think getting a loadbox...
