this is off topic but here goes FrankieVA i see where you had your rectifer modded by voodoo, do you like it, what did the mod do to it tone wise? and which mod did you get?

for me a prefer a 2x12 vertical slant cab or just vertical straight, now 4x12 i like straight cabs. mesa 2x12 vertical slant i really enjoy, this cab will be with me for life or until it crashes then i'll get another.

i know about marshally, maybe a marshall with a huge set of balls. i thought they realy made the mids shine better, they also tightened up my tone a little, they helped it cut through the mix a little better to. as for the cleans i've been fighting with the clean channel on my recto since...

i put el-34's in my duel rect and man this is great. these tubes really sound good with the duel rect. really hurts the clean channel but does great things for the overdrive. really opens up the mids.

that sounds like a cool set up, what soldano are you using and how are you going to use it? i used to run a soldano hot rod 50+ with my dual rect, it was pretty cool.

i bet that will sound really nice be sure to post how it sounds.

i've never heard anything like that before, i always flip it to stand by and up plug the rest of my stuff put my guitar up and then turn my amp off.

i agree, anything past 1 is getting out of control, i really prefer the gain around 9 then a boost for solos to tighten it up.

i somes times run the gain at 9:00 and then boost it for solos. this tightens it up real well.

so when you run in silicon diodes, does this cancel out your four power tubes, or is it just a soid state rectifier and the four power tubes are still going

where does everybody set their rectifiers gain, i usaully set mine at 12 o clock for distortion and 10 o clock for my cleans.

bogner uber cab, pricey but worth it. will sound awesome with dual rect

what are your settings if you don't mind, i'm curious, i'll find a good setting and then the next day it want sound good. me and the cleans on the dual rect have a love hate relationship.

i agree, emgs don't help show off your guitars tone, to me they are kinda bland, i think the burst buckers would be good for you because you can cover alot more ground. just my opinion.
