I would say to start with, you shouldn't try to get a Marshall sound with a Mesa. It's like asking a cat to bark like a dog. Not saying that you cannot try but if you are unhappy with the Mesa because it cannot produce Marshall tones, then you should just get a Marshall instead. I'm just saying...

Don't worry bro, I have gone through what you are going through now. Bet many other Mark V users had. It's like a new born child. The more time you spend with it, the more you understands it, the better it will sound in the end. It's definitely not an amp where you can plug in and sound awesome...

I find switching from the 90W mode to 10W mode requires some EQ-ing to make it sound sweet, esp on the Bass control (higher on the 10W mode). Anyone else realize this or is it only me?

Why do you say so? Any clips? I haven't tried any other speakers than the V30 in my cab. Really happy with the result but just gotta be careful with the top end spike in frequency. How's the comparison between the V30 and the scumbag?

I have an Eventide Timefactor and I'm totally happy with it! I did not have any of the impedance/volume issues with it in my loop as it handles the loop signal perfectly. Good luck mate!

Yup I do that. I use the Fat Clean on first channel purely for cleans only and set the Edge on Ch2 cleanish/about to break-up to use pedals on it. My pedals sounds much better through there.

But 1 thing that I'm confused here though. At first he said you can't tell the difference between the IIC+ and the IIC+ on the Mark V, then he said that the one on Mark V is better. How is it better if you can't tell the difference?
