    Best cab for TA15?

I'm considering getting a Mesa open wide back 1x12 as I am finding that the TA-15 is really "honky" in the midrange with my Mesa Mini Recto 1x12s (sealed) with V30s. Anyone running the Mesa open back widebody 1x12s with their TA-15?

Wren & Cuff Two Five Overdrive- Input needed

So despite having a pile of overdrive pedals I am intrigued by the Wren and Cuff Two Five 25v overdrive. I'll be looking to use it as a high gain boost for my TA-15 and ROV25 amps. Anyone have experience with it out here? I don't want to just basically turn the ROV25 in to a fuzz fountain...

    TA 15 mods?

May I suggest the Wampler Tumnus pedal for a fantastic boost with this amp? While I love Tubescreamers and Blues Drivers but the Tumnus really pushes the right frequencies nicely across Clean, Top Boost and Tweed. It's okay with HI1, but dances with the Boogie voice on HI2 very sweetly. I'd...

    Hi1 on TA15 just ROCKS!

Just picked up one of these little guys. I love the Tweed channel through my Mini Recto 1x12.

Xotic RC Booster: The OD Pedal Alternative (for Rectos)

I definitely want to try this to drive my ROV25. Also considering: Wampler db+: https://www.wamplerpedals.com/products/boost/db-boost-independent-buffer/ Suhr Dual Boost: https://www.suhr.com/electronics/pedals/boost/suhr-dual-boost-pedal/

Has your Rectifier ever surprised you in ways that you didn't expect?

After owning my Rectoverb 25 for about 8 months and primarily using it for high gain work, I have fallen in love with the "Pushed" channel when using a transparent boost pedal and either a strat or tele. I really never thought that this would happen with this amp as I primarily use old Fenders...

    Mini Rec 25 question

I recently bought a second Mini Recto cabinet to go with the original 1x12 that I bought with my ROV25. While aesthetically pleasing, I've also hooked it up to a Mesa 2x12 Recto horizontal cab which had a noticeable increase in low end thunk and punch. Because I'm in a townhouse, I typically...

    Rect-o-verb 25 combo cutting out

Glad I found this. Noticed that after about 7-8 minutes of playing that the volume would go down by about 60% for a few seconds before returning to normal. Pulled the effects loop cables, tightened the ends, used contact cleaner on the jacks. Turned the amp on for a few minutes without...

Rectoverb 25: High gain/low output retube kit

So after living with the Two Notes Captor X for a couple of weeks, I'm happy with the attenuation levels. It really has allowed me to appreciate the Crunch/Dirty voice of the Clean channel immensely due to being able to drive the power tubes harder with a transparent boost pedal. I haven't...

Heavy Rock with Lonestar Classic - Possible?

I've been able to get respectable heavy tones out of a Fender Deluxe Reverb with a V-Twin for years. Its never going to crush like a big Recto but it sounds better than some high gain lunchbox amps.

    Mesa Rectifier Badlander

I am really surprised at the negative response due to the single foot switch versus multiple switch pedals. I've never had a big Recto, but I've had the V-Twin(similar to channel switching on a Recto, I presume) and the single switches for the ROV25. I guess I don't really have a preference...

Rectoverb 25: High gain/low output retube kit

I decided to go with the Two Notes Captor X for the technical solution here. If it doesn't do the trick, iI'll dump it out on Reverb. Wish me luck...

Rectoverb 25: High gain/low output retube kit

Thanks for the feedback. I'm looking at Rockcrushers and Two Notes. Not sure what to think of the negative feedback on the Mesa Cab Clones.

Rectoverb 25: High gain/low output retube kit

So is the general opinion of most out here that the better solution is to go ahead and get an attenuator versus the low output tube kit?

Rectoverb 25: High gain/low output retube kit

Thanks. That's exactly the kind of feedback I needed. Still wondering if I should spend the extra money on a Rivera Rock crusher or a Captor X instead...
