Peavey Valveking 100 head $500 Brand New! Including shipping

Like new, bought a month and a half ago (before getting my Mesa DC-5) and now wish to sell or trade. I have the invoice to prove that I just purchased this and I bought the footswitch for it too. Total cost to me was $590 and I have only played it a few times for maybe a few hours total. The amp...

Bugera Mark Clone amp! Holy Likely Lawsuit Batman!!!

Cheap Chinese labor is not the real reason for people buying cheaper Chinese products here in the U.S.... Our government allowing greed to run our own corporations is. Look at how much money the top executives of most corporations make... that comes directly out of profits. They live extremely...

Bugera Mark Clone amp! Holy Likely Lawsuit Batman!!!

I don't want anyone here thinking I am starting a flame war or anything! Hopefully no one takes this conversation too seriously! I just think it would be quite funny (and hypocritical) if Mesa decided to drop a lawsuit on another company for making an amp similar to theirs. You remember how Mr...

    Post your DC Rigs

Okay, reposting this since I just replaced the tolex on this beast.... Need to make some leather corners and find the right handle to replace that too.

Bugera Mark Clone amp! Holy Likely Lawsuit Batman!!!

LOL What a clueless salesman... have you ever opened up a Bugera? The knobs are cheap on all amps, that's why they cost less than a buck to replace. They have ceramic tube sockets, maybe cheapo pots and generic caps, like any other manufactured amp. So I guess what I am saying that if you...

Bugera Mark Clone amp! Holy Likely Lawsuit Batman!!!

Don't know what you played through but Bugera's definitely don't sound like barf! I own a 6262 120 watt head and sounds beautiful, the clean shimmers and the distortion rocks, maybe you needed to EQ it better. As a matter of fact it sounds EXACTLY like the old Peavey 5150 amp only with a MUCH...

Bugera Mark Clone amp! Holy Likely Lawsuit Batman!!!

I love my Bugera 6262 (a 5150 clone)which sounds just as good, if not better than the amp it clones... their first run of amps had some issues, using a cheap connector that would overheat but they have since fixed this. I bought the 6262 120 watt head plus a 4x12 cabinet (which also sounds very...

    Post your DC Rigs

You know I can't find a sound I don't like on this amp. Is it even possible to find a bad sound? I plan on putting new tolex on it sometime in the near future since there are quite a few rips, tears and it is peeling off in places. Thinking of doing the burgundy snakeskin for something...

I am now the owner of a DC-5

Thanks Monsta-Tone! I see around here you are THE MAN when it comes to these amps, too bad you live on the other side of the country from me, would be nice to have a good local tech if I need one! Yeah I posted this in the serial thread too but the Rep over at Mesa said mine was a '93 or a '94...

Creating a DC Register for Serial# Dating

Called Mesa the other day about my DC-5, serial# 0960 and Chris Delveck (sp?) responded by telling me it looks like it was made either in 1993 or 1994. Guess they can't figure it out for sure, lol.

I am now the owner of a DC-5

Yeah I found that thread on serial #s you mentioned, bronzetalon, according to that my amp would be a 1994 or 1995, probably 1995. Thanks. Someday I will call Mesa and ask if they can look it up, if that's possible.
