Have anyone tried the X100B reissue? I saw a few youtube vids on them, it sounds intriquing. decent features, good sound and a stupid low price!!!!! $650 for a USA made all tube head?? thats just crazy!!!! It makes me want to try one on value alone. anyone here ever try one?

well, I honestly cant tell you how to get his recto tones because I never even knew he used rectos. I always went for his 80's sound...... I know the RK isnt the best tool for that, but you can get reasonably close. use chan 3 in vintage, EL34 tubes, bold mode, diodes, and use a tube...

the advice of dialing in tone with your ears and not your eyes is the best ever. once I adpoted that concept, I found some great tones out of my amps. just remember, there is a reason those knobs go from 1 to 10...... so you can use all that range.

OK, I have tried to research this on the net and here a bit. I realize that 5 of the 6 voicings have been updated for the stage 2, but what does that mean in the real world? I mean did it REALLY change the tone? and how much? I am really wanting to get a Stiletto, but it seems the stage 1...

the Bogner Shiva EL34 has AMAZING clean channel. I agree that marshall is probably just too lazy to spend time on the clean channels.

yea thats what I have heard, its marshall-esque. but I have to say, given it IS a mesa, I can coax some marshall-esque sounds out of a road king channel 2. to my experience, RK's arent like the recto solo head amps. they are voiced a bit different, especially channel 3. I can get some...
