Tweed at 25 watts/Gain at noon/Treble at 10:00/Bass at noon/Master set to taste
With the above setting and my Suhr Esquire the tone is just incredible. Nice fat/round notes that never sound harsh. Great great amp that keeps surprising me again and again!
I would describe the hiss as more of a hum really. In my amp it is only in the 15 and 25 watt modes with both top boost and cut engaged at the same time. Playing at a gig you would never hear it but sitting in a bedroom it is noticable.
Sorry it didn't work out. For me the "hiss" can be bothersome but I rarely use the amp with both cut and top boost engaged. My amp is dead quiet on 25 watts with top boost on and not using the cut. Hope you find what you are looking for.
I Agree with your post too. I just hope Mesa continues to offer a "choice" if you will with their amp line. For me I welcomed the direction starting with the Lonestar then the ED. I now own a TA-15 which I think is a great amp and covers so much ground.
I sold mine to a co-worker for $1300.....I hated letting it go for that price. I miss the amp and if it wasn't a combo I would still have it. A short head Dyne will be in this house sometime next year though!
I was asked that over on The Gear Page too. I bought the amp new from a Mesa dealer and the owner of the store is a good friend. He would give me a refund or exchange if I would ask. Right now he has nothing else in stock I'm interested in. So to help a friend with his buisness and to allow...
