Post Your Rig! Must Include a Mark V.

Really liking it so far, super-versatile for recording.

Settings for Recto sound on mkV:90 at bedroom levels

I've looked for Recto sound in a pedal before. I got to play a bunch of pedals in a store for a while. The Throttle Box was my least favorite of the bunch. I went home with the Pisdiyauwat by Emma Electronic. You might also consider the Lunchbox MiniRecto.

Dumble ODS or Bludotone Bludo Drive tone out of MARK V?

I assume Mark 1 mode would be the place to start. Since Carlton used that for so many years and the circuits are reportedly similar. (I don't have my Mark V yet, hopefully in a week.)

    Mark V25 to Powered Monitor?

You can also look into a power soak if you're concerned about volume. I've used a Weber Mini Mass with a Marshall for a while now. https://www.tedweber.com/minimass

    Mark V25 to Powered Monitor?

Yes, that would work. But a proper guitar cabinet at very low volume would sound much better IMO. Also, are you sure that the inputs on your monitor mix together? Most of the time it's either/or. So you would need a mixer to accomplish this.

    Mark V Again

There's another thread on this board about swapping the tube in the FX loop (V6). Have you tried that? http://forum.grailtone.com/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=73352 I haven't tried it because I'm a paycheck away from ordering mine. I've been practicing all week.

    Mark V:25 vs Mark V:35

I'm looking at one for a recording amp, so the channel switching doesn't matter. But I might go with the 35W anyway to get the nicer transformer. It's not much more money (especially compared to the price difference of the 90W).

Multiple Amp Tone Comparison SOUND CLIPS

Sounds great but all the tracks are out of phase. Flip the phase on one track (there's an on-screen button called "Phase" on the left side of the mixer page, circle with a line through it. Your tracks will sound much bigger.

Here's what Fractal is doing to our music

Does anyone honestly prefer virtual amps?

    Can a Mark V do a VH4?

I like Nickleback's guitar sound too. The 'Animals' tone sounds huge. Doesn't hurt to have Mutt Lange in the studio either. (I only know the one record, haven't seen them live.

Here's what Fractal is doing to our music

I absolutely see the reasoning to use them live. Metallica says the money saved allows them to play more shows, which is a perfect justification. But I think they will use the real deal in the studio.

Here's what Fractal is doing to our music

A modeler can never be the same as the thing it's modeling, right? The best it can do it 99.99% or whatever but there will always be some difference. It might be "so close it doesn't matter" but I don't think it's there yet. Something about moving air molecules in a room that we don't have the...
