Amp Recommendation: Fender Convert - Need help choosing a Mesa - 5:50 Express Plus, LSC, LSS, or something else? Help

Yep, I mean, let's face it, we all know the gain structure of a Recto! 👍

Lol! I didn't even note the date from the OP! I'm new around here and the the post popped up on the 'new posts' notification I got. Well, I I hope he was able to make a good decision! 🤣

I have to respectfully disagree with you on the reason that Fender Twins stay so clean, for so long. They're 85 watts! With their gain architecture, pushing those four 6L6s takes a lot of volume. I'm assuming the OP wants power tube compression/overdrive, not speaker breakup.

Thanks Dom. Yep, I've been a fan of Avatar cabs for 20 years (but have a new favorite! Lmk if you're curious). Mine's their partial open-back. It's been so many years since I've looked back there, that I'm not even sure what's in there, but I think it's a v30 and a 75t. I also have one of their...

New amp day - Lonestar classic

Congrats. Enjoy! They're fantastic that's for sure. For home use, I use it in 50w tweed mode.

Hey all, I figured it would only be proper that I introduce myself, albeit after joining about three weeks ago. I own a Lonestar Classic 1x12 combo and bought it sometime around '07. It's the powerhouse of my collection. Mine's the earlier 100/50w version. One odd thing that happened to mine...

Using Blues Jr FSR as extension cabinet

There's always a way to do something like that. Heck, just for fun, I had an old cheap Mustang 1 with the 10". I just took the leads from the amp and ran them to an input jack that I mounted into the ear panel with quick connectors. I ran it into a 1x12 I had. It was definitely an improvement...

LSC - Need To Pull Two Tubes

I think I'm good. Mine is the wide-body with 1x12. I use the internal 1x12, along with a 2x12, so I'm already down to 4ohms. Don't think I can go to 2 ohms! 🤠 Thanks again, Paul

LSC - Need To Pull Two Tubes

Much appreciated. I didn't think that would be covered in the manual, so never even bothered to look. That'll teach me! Looks like I'll be running the outer two slots. And because I always ran 50w mode, I guess there will be no change. In fact, I never knew if it cut voltage to all 4 tubes to...

LSC - Need To Pull Two Tubes

Hey all, I blew at least one of a set of two my 6L6s I was using in another amp. I need a quick fix and want to run it on two tubes. My question - Which ones should I run it on? 1 & 3 as I've heard for some Fender-style circuits (if so, is that left to right as you're looking at the rear?)...
