Sometimes you don't appreciate what you've got thread

The only one I'd want back on that list would be the Traynor YBA1, just a killer sounding old school amp.

Thinking of Replacing my Classic 30 with a 5:25 Plus.

I can really relate to your story as I posted this over at MLP: Though i'd share this ridiculous story with you.... Its funny for 4 years i had a Marshall VM2266 and was generally satisfied with the amp. Then i made the mistake of trying out a Mesa Boogie Express 5:50 2x12 and i was like...

    Satisfied with the old 25

I have a 5:50 2x12 which i absolutely love. I played an 5:50+ the other day and did not see any reason to upgrade. I bought a MKV about a moth ago and ended up returning it because the 5:50 can do 90% of what the MKV can and i like the tone of the 5;50 better. I ended up going in the opposite...

    Cleans on the new plus

I would agree on how well the 5:50 takes pedals. I Have the 5:50 2x12 and i was going to say goodbye to it when i bought a MKV. But after some time with them side by side i just liked the tone out of the 5:50 better. I tried everything on the MKV to get the tones i was getting out of the 5:50...

Mark V right for me? *update, finally tried it out

I Have a Express 5:50 2X12 and I Just bought a Mark V and I gotta say i'm not yet impressed with it. It sounds cold, harsh and brittle on almost every channel. I did manage to coax a half decent clean sound out of it. Channels 2 and 3 are quite the challenge to dial in. Maybe its the 1x12 combo...

Clean boost / EQ for my Express 5:25 1x12

Your correct it doesn't have a master volume....it has two master volumes :D

    5:50 and singlecoils

I would totally agree with you. My Strat sounds huge through the 5:50. I had a Marshall Vintage Modern 2266 half stack and I found the Strat sounded very thin/weak through that amp and I had to do a lot of tweaking/pedals to get a decent sound out to of it so I rarely played it. I used my LP for...

    NAD 5:50

Most of the negative comments have been from people comparing it to the Lonestar (cleans) or Roadster (gains) which are an entirely different class of amplifier. It has also been compared unfavourably to F50. Apparently the F50 has more gain on tap but i don't know I have never played one. I...

    NAD 5:50

Hi Everyone, This is my first post here. Just picked up a brand spanking new Express 5:50 and all I can say is WOW! what an amp. Been playing it all week and it just keeps getting better. So i thought i would come over to the Boogie Board and introduce myself and rave about this amp. Seen a...
